What is primary and secondary target market ?

Primary target market refers to the main group of consumers that a company intends to sell its products or services to. These are the customers who are most likely to purchase a company's offerings and represent the majority of its sales revenue.

Secondary target market, on the other hand, refers to a smaller group of consumers who may also be interested in a company's products or services, but are not the primary focus of its marketing efforts. These customers may have different needs or preferences compared to the primary target market, and may require a different marketing approach.

The main difference between primary and secondary target markets is their level of importance to a company's overall marketing strategy. The primary target market represents the company's main source of revenue, and therefore, requires a significant investment of resources to attract and retain these customers.

The secondary target market, while still important, represents a smaller opportunity for sales and may require less investment in marketing efforts.
